About
What is up everyone! My name is Jonathan Henderson but I go by Jayy. I got my Bachelor's degree from American Public University in Sports and Health Science. Currently, I am pursing a career in coaching while reaching people through this blog.
I am the second oldest out of eight siblings. They are my best friends, a pain in my behind, and I love them to death. Some of my interests are basketball, doodling, hiking/outdoors, and visiting random coffee shops. My favorite animals are cheetahs and owls. I love me some Italian food and cinnamon buns!
I played college basketball at Fayetteville Tech Community College for a year and signed with Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. Due to a sickness, osteomyelitis, the doctors advised me that my days of playing ball were over. When I have kids one day, I want to do things with them like my dad so I decided to stop playing. I started to pursue coaching and it became my passion. I coached at Grace Christian in Sanford for two years and had the opportunity to coach at the NCAA D2 level. Currently coaching at JUCO in North Carolina and can not wait to see where that takes me.
As this blog grows, I hope you get to learn more about me and I get to learn more about you guys. We are a community looking to grow.

Clockwork
Clockwork originally started as a basketball training service. Due to opportunities coaching at the college level I had to stop. One morning, at 4 a.m., I woke and the idea of a blogging came to me. The funny thing is that I am not the best writer. We took the name Clockwork and wanted to apply it here. God is part of our daily lives without any second guessing.

My Story...
I grew up in a Christian household my whole life. Sometimes it felt like God was forced on me and not my decision. I would go through the motions of getting close with God.
When I was twenty one, I dated this girl which left me in ruins. I did things that led me down a dark path for a year and could feel God slipping away.
While working at Grace Christian, I was invited to go to Camp Dixie with the high school class. Due to a schedule conflict I could not go but a storm came through so
they rescheduled. I got a call in the morning from Coach Wilson asking if I still wanted to go. I ended up meeting them there that afternoon and I thank God I did.
The speaker spoke on being in a body bag. How someone might of done something bad to you or that you did something you might regret. At this point I felt empty inside like there was a hole that you could feel the air going through it. He told us to give it to God and let him work within us. So I did exactly that.
On my way home, at 3:30 in the morning, windows rolled up and just silent, I called two people that I needed to forgive and handed it to God. After the last phone call there was a wind that came through my car and I felt so alive!
Since that morning, I have been on fire for God and been digging deeper. Many doors have been opened and lives touched thanks to a storm coming through to let me go to this camp. Knowing that God loves me and that I love him feels like a never ending waterfall.
